Sciences Commencement

The Commencement ceremony is held two times a year, in December and June. Find out the next ceremony date at the CBS Commencement Web site.

Preparing for advancement to candidacy (graduation):

1. TWO QUARTERS BEFORE GRADUATION - See your MAJOR ADVISER for a Major check.
2. TWO QUARTERS BEFORE BEFORE YOU PLAN TO GRADUATE sign up for a degree check in the CBS dean's office, 202 Life Sciences.
3. Check that official transcripts for all transfer work have been sent to Undergraduate Admissions.
4. Use Sisweb to update your address and phone number. Keep telephone numbers and mailing addresses up-to-date for at least two months after the projected graduation. This is vital should we find a problem.
5. Drop yourself from the DEGREE LIST at the Office of the Registrar if you know that you will not complete requirements for graduation during the quarter for which you have filed. You must re-file during the filing period for the quarter in which you will satisfy graduation requirements
6. If you want to have completion of a minor certified on your transcript you must file a Minor Petition with the CBS Dean's office prior to the deadline for filing your graduation application.
7. File an online graduation application at http://registrar.ucdavis.edu
8. Register online with College of Biological Sciences to receive tickets and participate in the commencement ceremony.
