The mission of the College of Biological Sciences is to develop and deliver undergraduate programs in the biological sciences of the highest possible quality; to contribute significantly to graduate and postdoctoral education in the biological sciences by participating in graduate academic programs and administration; to provide an environment for faculty members and students to do original and creative research in the biological sciences of the highest quality; and to provide service to the campus, the state of California, and the nation through committee service, outreach, and scientific leadership. By joining the College of Biological Sciences Dean’s circle, you will belong to a group of leaders who have made a commitment to sustaining the excellence of the biological sciences programs at UC Davis.

Your membership in the College of Biological Sciences Dean’s Circle enables discretionary funding to support opportunities and programs including:

  • student scholarships,
  • faculty research,
  • innovative teaching, and
  • a variety of programs at the Dean’s discretion.

A gift to the College of Biological Sciences annual giving society of $1,000 or more grants you membership in the Dean’s Circle. Dean’s Circle members will be invited to special events, such as an annual meal with the Dean. Join today and become a charter member of the CBS Dean’s Circle!

Responsibility for governance of the Foundation, including investments, is vested in its Board of Trustees.  It is the policy of The UC Davis Foundation and the University of California, Davis that a portion of the gift principal and/or income is used to provide essential support necessary to UC Davis' overall operation. For purposes of partially defraying the costs of the University's development operation, a one-time fee based on a percentage of all gifts received is retained by UC Davis.
